Sea of the Dragon Blossom

[Here Johto, a scene of relative calm given the last few weeks. Just a strained-looking Umi sitting on the grass outside a Pokemon Center, still wearing an apron from her restaurant work. But her Dratini's already out and wrapped around her lap. There's also a bit of white and blue that shoots by behind her head, but good luck identifying that.]

Hello? Right- I know there's a lot of cities out there with problems, and some people fighting with new powers? Well, it hasn't reached us out here in Violet much, except for the Center's busier. But we're not filled up yet, if you're looking for some place to stay that hasn't gone insane yet. I can check with the nurse there and tell you if we have room left, if you call.

Now, if anybody can tell me how to keep a Gible from eating wood floors, I could go back to my-

[Suddenly she jolts up, and right where she was sitting, a blue fin breaks up the ground with its trek straight forward.]

Digger, where are you going?!

[Please excuse her- she's going to turn off the feed to try and catch that little shark. If anyone does take her advice and head for the Violet City Center, or already there, they might catch Umi trailing after a fin sliding through the dirt road, closely followed by a tiny Swablu trying oh so hard to clear the dust trail.]

[The screen fizzles on, all to show Umi leaning over a rail, yelling something off screen.]

Stop going so far! You think you won't get pulled out to sea?!

[Apparently she planned to talk to the viewer, but the unseen swimmer distracted her. So it takes a second before she looks to the screen again.]

Hi. I'm mostly doing this to tell Hikaru I'm in the city called "Cherrygrove", and I want to know if you're close yet. If not, I'm tired of sitting still, so I'll meet you on the road.

-but I wanted to ask just, anybody.

[While talking, she's sat down on a bench, right between a pair of eggs - both a light blue with white markings. But the colortones differ, and Umi pointedly leans away from the one making a ":)" with the white.]

How many of these Pokémon do you keep? Do you take them all into battles and make them all strong? Or do you pick and choose the ones you work with? And, the eggs. How many of these do you hatch and raise at once?

I have enough troubles with one, but if I need to keep more, I have these to work with. But still

[...and she's noticed her Piplup has swum too far, so sorry for the sudden lost-patience noise and abrupt call end.

For those who happen to pass her by in person, though, they'll get a treat of Umi trying to coax her penguin, and sweet talk her to shore. And failing miserably.]
