[So sorry for the sudden yelling, Johto. There's one angry girl on the line, hiding her confusion behind, well. The volume.]

Yes yes, it's nice to be back in some place with some sense of reality...

[As she quiets down a soft, constant “Pip! Pip! Pip!” can be heard in the background, unheard or unacknowledged by the girl talking.]

But, I was supposed to be inside a shrine, not running around some quaint little town with animals as weird as Mokona! It's probably that thing's fault to begin with. When I find that marshmallow-

[She's mumbling to herself now, making the background cries all the more noticeable. Enough that the caller snaps at the source.]

Would you quit doing that?! I don't know what you want!!

[One last “Pip!” and out goes the call. Please allow five seconds for ears to stop ringing.]

[ Now there is a face with a head of blue hair and a voice at a very distinct volume, both of which Hikaru would recognize in any world as belonging to that of one of her best friends. Pardon her while she literally jumps once, twice on the balls of her feet for joy, causing the Cyndaquil hanging off her shoulder to protest. Umi might recognize the sort of derpy expression on said Cyndaquil's face as being eerily similar to that of a certain marshmallow, not that Hikaru's focused on that at the moment. Umi's got her complete and undivided attention and enthusiasm. ]

Umi-chan, you're back!

[ Yes, back. Hikaru's a little too excited to have realized Umi's talking like she hasn't been in Johto before, but then, most people would probably be just as excited as Hikaru is if one of their best friends showed up after they hadn't seen them for a almost a whole month. ]

You're really back! [ And a certain redheaded is very, very happy to see her. Can you tell? ]

[Going to be holding a finger in his ear to try and make that ringing stop.]

It sounds hungry. There's food in your bag. Now quit screaming at the top of your lungs!

[Well someone's not taking their arrival to Johto very well, it would seem.]

Don't be mad at the Pokémon too much... it's only trying to be your friend.

[-what's this? The voice of a friend? The face of a companion? A long awaited link to the familiar dangling just out of reach???]

[She's turning that screen back on in a snap, beaming at the fellow night- while she holds that blue penguin off her leg and out of sight with her free hand.]

Well of course I'm... What do you mean, back? Back in your sight? Back in contact? Oh, what's it matter! How did we, end up...

[....so sorry. She just noticed. Cyndaquil.

Thank you, I already thought of that and it's still trying to boss me around, instead of actually help.

Cute and true. It's going to be your partner in this place so of course friendship would be a good thing.

They might be around here somewhere, but in most cases they aren't, it would seem. [He'll look slightly sadder at that.] And apparently there isn't a way out.

I meant back in Johto. You were here before. Fuu, too. [ Though Hikaru didn't know them very well at the time. ] You don't remember?

[ Which is a saddening thought, but that's okay. Even if Umi doesn't remember, she's here and Hikaru will do everything she can to help her friend. They can make new memories together in this world, too! That thought alone is enough to bring the smile back to her face. ]

That? [ And she turns her eyes briefly to the Cyndaquil hanging off her shoulder. ] That's Mokona, my starter Pokémon! You should've gotten one when you showed up in New Bark Town, too. They're good friends and really important on your journey here. Which one did you get, Umi-chan?

Don't I- Hikaru, you aren't making sense! The last I remember is Mokona nose diving us into an ocean and coming up on something underwater, and...

[And, not much, after that. There might have been a dragon, but she's half-certain that was just a dream before she woke up here. And it doesn't right now. She's in a strange world, again. Hikaru's here, but who knows where and acting like this is not insane.

And she's named a fiery... Mousy thing after that.]

Why would you... You know what? Scratch that. Why are you talking like what the people here coughed up as a story makes sense? What about Cefiro?!

[-wow, never expected herself to point that out.

And, well, she did ask, so she will give a wordless tilt of the feed, so Hikaru can see the Piplup all but climbing up her leg. Until she finally gets some attention- Then she freezes like her fin's caught in the cookie jar.]

You mean the Shrine of Water?

[ Oh. Oh. Umi came to Johto from that far long ago? It's surprising despite that Hikaru knew, knows very well that that's more than possible. She herself was pulled to Johto for the first before they even touched down on Fyula. ]

I know this is all probably really strange to you and this is probably going to sound really hard to believe, but Cefiro will be okay. When you're brought to this world, time is frozen for you until you're sent back. The story the people in New Bark Town told you is true, too.

[ And Mokona the Cyndaquil is nodding vigorously even as he peers at Umi. ]

*... sorry Umi, he's pretty much giggling.*

Eheh... This is a familiar sight.

[Finally, a sense of reality returning!

But. It's certainly not lasting... And if it were anyone else claiming these things, there would be nothing to say but "you're off your rocker" or "that's insane" or "that's not the point- I want to get back!"

But it's Hikaru, so instead it's just a light] You've got to be kidding! [Before she shakes off the shock enough to answer properly, moving only to sit on the grass - and right into her Piplup's grabby range.]

So who's "will" do we have to thank for this one?

Somebody needs to take a deep breath, huh?

Just how often do you put people through this insanity?!

...yes, calm down. Then everything will make complete sense.

We all had something we're supposed to be doing, but can't get back... it's a really difficult situation for a lot of us. [For him, too, even if it didn't include saving a princess.]

Then why aren't you trying to get back, too?

As for whose 'will' we have to thank for being here, nobody really knows. Whoever it is is must be really strong, though. People from all kinds of different worlds are brought to Johto. It's not just us this time.

--EH?! I-I don't put anyone through this kind of insanity! I mean sure, I might cause a few headaches here and there but this definitely isn't the kind I'm responsible for!

[Yes, she is... And this is Hikaru, so she wouldn't be lying, either.

But, even with an experience of magic behind her now, this is pretty big to swallow, and she struggles to even as Hikaru drops another surprise in her lap.]

I'm dropped in another world, with delusional people talking like I'm going on some hike, and a penguin talking to me!
